Ship's 2-day preview cruise from Miami (May 8-10) was a special voyage for VIP guests only, including Wyland (hull artist), Elvis Duran, The Morning Show members, Alex Vega (The Auto Firm). During the 2-day inaugural ship preview in NYC, NCL Bliss was berthed at Pier 88 in Manhattan. On May 4, the ship was boarded by brand partners, US media and cruise industry representatives, also boat godfather Elvis Duran. The Z100 morning show was live-broadcasted from the liner. Following the cocktail reception (held in The Haven's Horizon Lounge) VIP guests enjoyed the premiere of the "Jersey Boys" show in the Bliss Theater. Useful Things to Know About Norwegian Bliss Cruise Ship
I appreciated that the Norwegian Bliss does a great job of providing activities and experiences for every member of the family and travelers. There are water activities for younger children, such as a child-friendly pool and a water slide called the Aqua Racer. There is also a relatively large kids splash pad complete with fun water spouts, climbing steps, and small slides.
Pool Deck 16 has 2 swimming pools (located away from the deck's center) and cantilevered whirlpools (hot tubs over the ship's sides). A water fun kids zone (on the top deck) has splash pads, tipping buckets, water cannons, and slides. There are touchscreens on each level of the stairs to offer you the opportunity to book dining and shows for that night directly from the screens. I’m unsure if you are able to book the race track or laser tag from these screens, but I “think” it might be possible.
On February 17, 2018, was vessel's float-out ceremony held at the Papenburg shipyard. The ship was officially delivered to NCL on April 18, 2018. In late October 2016 was revealed the NCL Bliss ship's hull art - themed as “Cruising with the Whales”.
Deck 7 also has the dining rooms for Local, the 24-hour eatery and The Manhattan Room, one of the main dining rooms. The upper level of the Bliss Theater is also located on Deck 7.
